In 1966 archaeologists excavating prehistoric sites in the future Lake Meredith National Recreation Area made some interesting discoveries. One of those discoveries was made atop a small hillside inside a 1000 year old dwelling site. Wes Phillips, Director of the Hutchinson County Historical Museum, describes what might have happened.
