Churches - Thirteen church organizations nine or which own their buildings. Ten regular pastors.

Payroll 1928 - $700,000 a month. 1929 $1,000,000 per month for the first five months and increasing.

Paving - 17 3/4 miles in county 2 1/2 in city.

Carbon Black Industry - Ten plants, 63 units, using 315,000,000 cubic feet of residue gas daily; producing 475,000 pounds or 238 tons or twelve car loads per day; pay roll $100,000 per month.

Casinghead Gasoline Plants - Twenty-six plants; compression process, extract gasoline from natural gas obtain about 1 1/2 gallons of raw gasoline from each 1000 cubic feet of gas.

Oil Refineries - Two oil refineries, capacity 10,000 barrels crude oil daily. Gasoline shipments from this city each day exceeds 500,000 gallons; also 50 cars of fuel oil shipped daily.

Oil Wells - 1,120 producing wells; average output 37,000 to 40,000 barrels daily. Center of field operations for virtually the entire Panhandle area of five counties.

Labor Turnover - Very small, no labor troubles in this field past or present.

Government - City commission form with city manager.

Civic Organizations - Rotary, Lions and High Twelve clubs with 40 members each; Business and Professional Women's club; Chamber of Commerce, 300 active members; Twentieth Century and Music clubs; Little Theatre Group; new $20,000 American Legion home; $40,000 Masonic Temple; Moose Lodge, 700 members, contemplating $35,000 home.

Other Information - One and three-fourths miles white way, longest of any city this size in the state; public library; three gold courses; two bathing pavilions; $50,000 City Hall; two moving picture, one Vitaphone theatre; two modern tourist camps; 45 hotels; 36 apartment houses; office building and new hotel being started.

Stores carry most up-to-date lines at reasonable prices; city is center of trade territory north, to Oklahoma line. Plenty of electricity, natural gas and pure water at low rates; two highways 117, 41.
